About Monel 400 Fasteners

Monel 400 Fasteners are made from UNS N04400, a nickel-copper alloy containing not less than 63% nickel and 28 to 34% copper. The alloy has good strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance over a wide range of temperatures. It has good resistance to seawater, hydrofluoric acid, sulphuric acid, and alkaline conditions. Monel 400 retains its mechanical properties at sub-zero temperatures and is suitable for cryogenic service. These fasteners are widely used in marine engineering, chemical processing, oil and gas, and power generation, where chloride attack and acidic media are ongoing concerns.
